Tropical State of Mind

September 28, 2018 Alyssa Maiale

Even though I said I’d never leave, I had to come back to the real world. But believe me, I’m already planning my next trip to Unico 20°N 87°W. And while I’m still in this tropical state of mind, I thought I’d give you a recap of my vacation in paradise.

Since I’m a big believer in “pictures speak louder than words,” this post will mostly be dedicated to photos.

The beach calls me. It’s my happy place. Obviously I spent a lot of time digging my toes in the sand. Unfortunately when I visited there were tons of seaweed in the water, so I didn’t get to swim much.

Unico 20°N 87°W had some of the best food I’ve ever had - and that’s saying a lot since I live in NYC.

Just chillin’ with my friends in my swim-up pool room.

Best part about the Alcoba Ocean View Room? It’s balcony tub. We had our local host (aka personal assistant) pour us a bath, complete with bubbles, champagne, and roses. I don’t think there is anything more relaxing than sitting in that bubble bath, with a refreshing drink in hand, looking out at the entire resort and Gulf of Mexico.

Sad to walk away from this resort, but don’t worry, I’ll be back. As should you. Blog post to come on how to score affordable all-inclusive vacations - stay tuned!
